Due to COVID-19 restrictions, we're currently unable to invite volunteers to help us pack. But stay tuned for updates.
Participate in packing bags each Thursday evening (typically 6:00pm-7:30pm). There is a group of 10-15 volunteers signed up to pack all the needed bags for that week. This is an excellent volunteer opportunity for all ages. There are opportunities each month for individuals to sign up for an “open” pack as there are opportunities for large groups to sign up for a dedicated night.
Participate in delivering bags to schools we serve every Friday. Volunteers are needed to pick up the bags from the church and then deliver them to the dedicated school before 10:30 am.
Monthly Pantry Stock
Help stock the pantry each month from the significant donation of food from the Food Bank of NC. This typically takes place during the day.

Want an easy way to get your neighbors involved in giving food to hungry children? We have two ways to get involved.
Organize a neighborhood pack. Block parties, neighborhood gatherings, and yard sales are great ways to make giving simple. It is easy. We provide the menu and instructions, send an event representative to your location if requested, and assist with logistics for transporting the food to our location. You purchase the food needed and gather the neighbors to pack the bags.
Do the children want to get involved? Join our Kids for Kids effort. Ask the neighbors to buy our most needed item and put it in a bag that you place on their mailbox. The kids can pick it up or neighbors can drop it by your home. We identify the most needed item, provide instructions, and assist with logistics for transporting the food to our location.
We are engaged at many local events. As an event representative, you may work with sponsoring groups, tell our story at the event, coordinate receipt of donations, or answer questions about the event activities.
This role is great for someone who likes coordinating activities, is detailed oriented, and enjoys meeting new people.
