VOLUNTEER

Weekly Packs

Want a fun way to give back to your community and receive volunteer hours?  Our weekly pack is ideal for middle school and high school students.  Participate in packing  bags each Wednesday evening (typically 6:00pm-7:30pm).  There is a group of 10-15 volunteers signed up to pack all the needed bags for that week.  There are opportunities each month for individuals to sign up for an “open” pack.

Students under age 18 must be accompanied by an adult during the event.

SCHOOL PACK or FOOD DRIVE

Want to get your entire school involved and have everyone receive volunteer hours?  Host a School Food Drive.  We tell you the item we need most, provide the instructions and printable labels for the donation box, and assist with logistics for transporting the food to our location.  You obtain the boxes, label them, and thank students and teachers for their contribution.

Try giving the students some extra incentive.  Setup a competition between grades or homerooms to see who can bring in the most food and award the winners with something special.

STUDENT BOARD

The student board, mentored by our Leadership Team, is for high school students looking to join an active volunteer board.  The group meets monthly to plan and perform activities needed to feed the children.  Activities may consist of organizing food drives, packing mini breakfast bags to be used at our packs, picking up food donations (licensed drives with parental consent only), or attending local events in support of our group.

Joining the student board requires a full school year commitment.  Volunteer hours are received based on participation level.
